LB 685 People with developmental disabilities who are dependents of active duty military personel

04.02.18

Military dependents. People with developmental disabilities who are dependents of active-duty military personnel stationed in Nebraska would get an edge in qualifying for state-funded services under LB 685, sponsored by Sen. Carol Blood of Bellevue. The bill, which passed 48-0, would list such people as fifth priority for services for the developmentally disabled. First priority goes to people in immediate crisis, second to people wanting to leave an institution, third to state wards transitioning to adulthood and fourth to students leaving high school.
